An Ipswich Treble!

The Matt Hoysted Racing team took four horses to Ipswich’s race meeting on Thursday and left with a trio of winners.
The first leg of the treble came in race 5 when 4yo gelding MOTORBIKE disposed of his maiden under the guidance Jag Guthmann-Chester.
Previously part of the Godolphin operation, MOTORBIKE improved sharply from his first run for the Hoysted stable on July 8 when failing to beat a runner home in a 1200m maiden at Beaudesert.
The removal of blinkers and the addition of pacifiers appeared to do the trick for the son of EPAULETTE, who led throughout the 1100m event to win by 0.15 lengths.
Three races later, stablemate JOPPA LANE (pictured) posted a more decisive winning margin of 1.9 lengths against Benchmark 70 rivals over 1200m.
Ridden by Damien Thornton, JOPPA LANE was poised just behind the speed before sprinting sharply in the straight.
She is a half-sister to JAMI LADY, a stakes winner for the stable five years ago, and races in the same colours of her owners/breeders Michael and Janice Paris.
The treble was completed in the final event on the card when ARALETTA relished a hot tempo to grab victory in the 1100m BM65.
In just her third start for the stable since relocating from Victoria, ARALETTA sliced through the field in the home stretch to score by 0.5 lengths for Jag Guthmann-Chester who finished the meeting with a treble of his own.
ARALETTA is a daughter of PIERRO whose overall record now reads 11 starts for three wins and six placings.
The stable’s treble followed the maiden-breaking win of YOYO YEEZY at Eagle Farm eight days earlier. Racing in the familiar blue and white butcher stripes of Lavin Park, YOYO YEEZY is a half-brother to Group 1 winning stablemate UNCOMMON JAMES.
