PROMISCUOUS GIRL back with a bang
Sunday, 07 Sep 2025

The familiar butcher stripes colours of Lavin Park were carried to victory at the Sunshine Coast on Friday night as 5yo mare PROMISCUOUS GIRL made a triumphant return from a spell.
Sporting the same colours as high-profile stablemate UNCOMMON JAMES, PROMISCUOUS GIRL won the 1400m 0-58 Handicap in her first race start since April.
The daughter of DUNDEEL camped outside the leader through the middle stages before moving up to challenge for the front at the 300m mark.
PROMISCUOUS GIRL still had plenty of work to do inside the final furlong as BOLSHEVIC ROAD and BIT OF GRUNT loomed large, but to her credit she responded gamely to the urgings of Jag Guthmann-Chester and won by 0.1 lengths.
The last 600m of the race was clocked at 36.29 seconds (soft 6 conditions), quicker than both of the 1400m contests run earlier in the meeting.
Formerly trained in Sydney by Chris Waller, PROMISCUOS GIRL was purchased by Matt Hoysted Racing online via the Inglis Digital platform last year for $40,000 and since then, the mare has only missed a place twice in six starts, one of which was on a heavy 9 track.
