OUROBOROS too fast, too strong
Monday, 13 Oct 2025

Another bold front-running display by OUROBOROS ensured favourite backers of a collect at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
Shouldering a hefty impost of 60kg, OUROBOROS ($2.60) started to up the tempo from the 800m and his lead was never threatened thereafter, going on to win the 1200m Class 3 Plate by a comfortable margin of 1.7 lengths.
The race time of 1:08.90 was 0.13 seconds quicker than the 1200m Class 6 Plate won by HE’S HEAVEN.
OUROBOROS is fast becoming one of Brisbane’s most consistent gallopers, having won or finished runner-up in his five starts since transferring from Victoria.
Jockey Damien Thornton, who won the feature race (Listed QLD Cup) later in the day on WALSH BAY, has been aboard OUROBOROS in his last four starts for two wins and two seconds.
The five-year-old son of HARRY ANGEL now looks set to graduate to stakes company, with his benchmark now edging towards 90.
Congratulations to his owners Mr Scarborough and Trilogy Racing.
