YEEZY does it!

The promising YOYO YEEZY strung together a hat-trick of wins when saluting as an odds-on favourite at Eagle Farm’s midweek fixture.

With only four rivals to face in the 1000m Class 3 Plate, YOYO YEEZY started a $1.40 favourite with Damien Thornton aboard.

Despite being a touch tardy to leave the gates from the outside, the 4yo gelding was able to quickly take up a position outside the leader in what developed into a fast run contest – 0.37 seconds quicker than the open handicap run later in the day.

YOYO YEEZY travelled strongly into the home straight and once let go by Thornton, he gradually wore down the second favourite SPIETHTACULAR to win by 0.6 lengths.

All three of the gelding’s wins have come over the five furlongs, his only blemish being a 5th on debut over 1100m at Doomben during the winter.

The son of YES YES YES looks well on his way now to Saturday metropolitan company.

Wednesday’s victory continues a remarkable run of results for the sire, with 16 other winners (9 at city level) in the last month.
