Perfect day out!
Monday, 23 Mar 2026

The Hoysted team ushered in the weekend with a perfect day out at Ipswich.
Two runners were engaged at the meeting and both emerged victorious in their respective events.
HEARTS ARE BETTER appreciated a drop in grade to take out the 1100m Class 4 Handicap for stable apprentice Fiona Sandkuhl.
At the mare’s previous outing, she had failed to beat a runner home in a Class 6 Plate over the 1100m Doomben course.
That form reversal brought up career win number 5 and continued an unusual sequence of first or last place finishes in 5 starts this season.
The daughter of BETTER THAN READY has now earned $453,000 in prizemoney, the bulk of which was won in last year’s QTIS 3yo Jewel (1200) at the Gold Coast.
The second leg of the stable’s winning double on Friday’s Ipswich card came in the shape of MONAKEED.
Another 4yo mare ridden by Sandkuhl, MONAKEED broke through in the mile maiden after finishing with runner-up honours at her previous two starts.
The daughter of AKEED MOFEED races in the stable colours of navy blue and white checks for Mr Bourse Bloodstock.
