BAD BOSS dominates

Lightly raced 4yo BAD BOSS broke his maiden in dominant fashion at Doomben’s midweek meeting.

The STREET BOSS gelding started a $4.20 second favourite behind INDIGO STAR ($2.30) in the 1350m Maiden Plate but a 3-length margin between the pair on the line made a lie of their positions in the market.

Rider Boris Thornton had BAD BOSS poised trailing a genuine speed set by two front-runners before overtaking at the furlong pole and racing away for a comfortable win.

The race time of 1:20.03 was the quickest of three 1350m events on the program which included a BM68 contest taken out by three-time winner HURRICANE LU.

BAD BOSS hadn’t troubled the scorer in three previous career starts however got within 2.5 lengths of the winner at Eagle Farm on August 12.
