UNCOMMON JAMES’s half brother YOYO YEEZY picked up from where he left off last preparation with victory at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
Having broken his maiden over the 1000m course there in July, YOYO YEEZY faced a substantial rise in grade when resuming in the BM70 contest.
But Hoysted’s placement of the 4yo YES YES YES gelding was justified as he led throughout for rider Damien Thornton, with more than half a length to spare on the line.
The overall race time was a sharp 56.83, which was 0.06 seconds faster than the Listed Bribie Handicap run later in the day.
With a pair of wins from only three trips to the races, YOYO YEEZY looks well above average.

The stable was also represented at the Gold Coast on Saturday where SIX OF WANDS shed her maiden over 1200m.
The 4yo son of ZOUSAIN was having his 7th career start and prevailed narrowly for apprentice Leah Martyn.
Like YOYO YEEZY, SIX OF WANDS was having his first start since July.
Michelle Petrofski’s syndicate 3MG Racing purchased SIX OF WANDS as a yearling for $60,000 from Kenmore Lodge’s draft at the 2023 Magic Millions March QTIS Sale.
